I think it’s funny when girls put Marilyn Monroe quotes to describe themselves. Like, really? She was a hot mess. And I know you’re trying to show that you’re a hot mess too, and that it’s okay, but that simply is not the case. You can’t out-hot mess Ms. Monroe. And furthermore, she was that candle in the wind who burned out long before her legend ever did. Why is this something to aspire to? I understand that no one is perfect. That is a given. And I think it’s a beautiful thing. But is Marilyn Monroe the epitome of that? I’m not so sure.

Hmm. Now that I’m thinking about it, it does kind of make sense. She was gorgeous BUT had many flaws. Maybe I’m just being all judgemental because I think it’s cliche to quote Marilyn Monroe.
